March is Women’s History Month, so what better way to celebrate a [Playlist Monday] than by celebrating groundbreaking women in the music industry.
At first I was going to use BillBoard Charts to find women who broke through with “firsts” and record setting songs, but after awhile I realized there was a distinct lack of old school R&B legends so I decided to fix that.
I also made sure that all of the songs were women-exclusive, so no men involved in this playlist. Let’s sit back and celebrate women’s accomplishments in music!
