[Playlist Monday]: White Boy Rock, created by @RoyWoodJr

Birmingham Comedic Legend, Daily Show Correspondent and All-Around good guy dropped into our latest recording of “Don’t Call It a Podcast” this weekend and provided us commentary on “white rock songs that slap”.

The discussion was stirred up through a Twitter conversation headed by recurring DCIP guest @HumbleTeej regarding Pop Rock 80s hits and sort of became the central focus of the upcoming DCIP episode before getting derailed. He mentioned that he had a personal “White Boy Rock” playlist on his phone that he would jam out to from time to time, despite denying any extensive knowledge of the aforementioned Pop Rock hits specifically.

Roy is always cool and personable enough to give us the time of day, even talking with us before going on stage, so shoutout to him for putting on for the city. We’re proud of him and all he’s accomplished. You can catch him on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah as well as “This Is Not Happening”

Playlist is below, meanwhile check out his latest projects and keep up with what Roy’s doing:
