I wanted to make a series to share some playlists with y’all. For those that don’t know, I used to do radio, both Sports talk as well as traditional talk shows. I used to love putting together playlists for my show, whether they had a common theme or I just took people back in time a little bit.

While Black America had embraced the genre, white people still had a major issue with the genre and it was nowhere near as universally accepted as it tends to be now.
