The Ticket Window: NFL Week 7

Last week we fell victim to the season-ending injury to Aaron Rodgers and saw a depleted Giants team go on the road and shock the Broncos. I gave those of you who follow either me ( @Jordan_ Bishop ) or the official KWC Blog account ( @TheKWCBlog ) a Thursday night parlay of Oakland +3 and the under which unfortunately split which just counts as 1 loss. 1-2 last week with the loss of the parlay moves us to 4-3 on the year. Let’s get to this week’s picks.

Miami Dolphins (-3) vs New York Jets

Miami back at home after a big come from behind victory over Atlanta last week and now they get to host a Jets team who is coming off a demoralizing home loss to New England in a game where they had a chance to knock off the defending Super Bowl Champs. Miami riding momentum while the Jets licking their wounds? Dolphins minus the points and maybe we smoke some cigarettes with Cutler in the 4th quarter of a blowout.

Seattle Seahawks vs New York Giants Under 40

This is a matchup of two teams with weak offensive lines, poor running attacks and defenses who are designed to keep points off the field. It’s a low total for a reason and I can very easily see a boring 17-10 type game playing out. Not an early kick so the Seahawks traveling east does not bother me like it would if it was a 11am kick in New York which would mean an 8am kick for the West Coast adjusted Seahawks.

Cleveland Browns (+6) vs Tennessee Titans

I’ve been sober all 21 days now of October (made a bet with a buddy of mine) but this feels like a drunk “Why did I take the Browns” pick. There is a ton to hate about this pick but I feel like this is the spot to back the Browns. Cleveland coming off an embarrassing 33-17 loss to Houston where they were down 33-3 going into the 4th quarter. Tennessee on the road has not been the same Tennessee team that plays in Nashville. Give me a Browns team that is gonna be playing with a chip on their shoulder and maybe I’ll be wishing I was drunk by halftime.

Good luck this week.
